Continuing my collaboration with LaMicro Theater, on November 19 I'll direct a staged reading as part of Escena Sur - Latin American Plays. Thebes Land by contemporary Uruguayan playwright Sergio Blanco explores the themes of patricide and homoerotic attraction within a metatheatrical frame. Reading: Drunken Ghosts by Chilean playwright Juan Radrigan
On November 19 I'll direct a reading of a play by Juan Radrigan, Chilean playwright, novelist and poet. In Spanish with English supertitles, Fantasmas borrachos is a drunken dream that portrays the confusion felt by the common man confronted with Chilean politics. On January 11 The Flea hosted a reading of Atomic City by Anson Mount (Hell on Wheels) directed by Leon Ingulsrud (SITI Company) and featuring the BATS. It’s a twisted take on Our Town with a really great creative team behind it and I was honored to assist one of my former teachers of Suzuki/Viewpoints and, well, one of my favorite actors.Reading - Parkour (o un manual para correr en linea recta) by Eduardo Pavez Goye
On November 20 at 8:30 pm I'll direct a staged reading of Parkour (o un manual para correr en línea recta) by Chilean playwright Eduardo Pavez Goye. The reading is produced by La Micro Theater and the first play I direct in Spanish. Staged Reading: The Palace by Graham Parkes at NYU Tisch
On April 26 I directed a staged reading of Graham Parkes' The Palace, an incredibly accomplished young playwright graduating from NYU Tisch School of the Arts.
